Human diseases & Disorders
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
- to have students learn more about the human body by researching a particular disease or disorder
- to have students chose a topic that resonates with them (e.g. a disease that runs in the family)
* Each student must choose a UNIQUE topic (no one can cover the same disease or disorder)
* If you have a particular topic in mind, I recommend you let me know ASAP so no one else chooses it before you!

PROJECT OUTCOMES
Presentation (here's the marking guide)
* 2 – 3 minute presentation to class
* Requires a visual component
i. Minimal text
ii. Easily visible to whole class
iii. Used to enhance presentation, add interest, and make topic easier to understand

- An exception to this would be if a person if coming in to show or demonstrate
(let me know if you are planning to do this for your visual element)
Written Report (here's the marking guide)
* Full, good copy, report is to be completed on the last two pages of the final project
i.Should be clearly laid out so information is easy to read and follow
ii.No plagiarism! Write it out in your own words. Point form is okay.
iii.Work on to the backside or include an extra sheet of paper, if needed
* Include at least 2 graphics
i.Make sure they are supportive and informative
ii.Each must be independent and unique
e.g. two graphs or a before/after picture would only count as 1 graphic
* Minimum of 3 references to be included on the very back page of the final project
i. Make sure they are reliable
ii. Include enough information that I can easily find the resource
